Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actress. She is best known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills and Kim Mills on ABC's Lost television show. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of high school after her parents divorced to go into Los Angeles to live with her mother. She was struggling to make ends meet when she got her first role in acting in the film Rachel's Room's main character. In 2002 she was nominated to receive an Young Artist Award with her character as a 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford, the character she played in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was selected for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to concentrate on film following her role as Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005. The following year, she appeared as a character in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and, opposite Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills for Taken. As a part of the Gyllenhaal Family she's the younger sister of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager She began working on small roles with her father and appeared in Donnie Darko along with her twin brother. In 2002, she starred as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Also, she appeared on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received acclaim from critics for her leading performances in the romantic erotic comedy Secretary (2002) as well as the drama Sherrybaby (2006) each of which brought her a Golden Globe Award nomination. Her fame grew after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercials she appeared in the year the year 2006.
