Christopher Robert Evans, born on June 13, 1981 is an American actor. His television career began with parts, which included Opposite Sext in 2000. In the following years, he appeared in numerous teen films including 2001's Not Another Teen Movie he gained attention for his portrayal of the Marvel Comics character, the Human Torch in 2005's Fantastic Four and the sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Evans was also featured in film versions of comics and graphic novels TMNT (2007), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2009), Snowpiercer (2003). Alongside his character in the role of Captain America and Steve Rogers Evans earned him recognition for his appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2015) as well as Captain America: Civil War. The Marvel films have made him one of Hollywood's highest-paid actors.
