Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers - was born July 8, 1989 in Paris. When she moved to Oxfordshire at the age of five, she enrolled in The Dragon School. Emma's goal was to be an actor. At the age of six, she joined the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch in which she was taught classes in acting, singing and dancing. As early as age ten she was involved as the lead in a number of Stagecoach Productions and School Plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) The movie version to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for the first time in 1999. Emma was spotted by Emma's Oxford Theater teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after the eight auditions that she'd been selected for the roles. She was cast alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's screen debut was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's premiere in the year 2001. The film broke records for beginning-day and weekend-opening sales as well as being the most-grossing feature of the year 2001. Critics praised the film and the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph in Britain and the Daily Telegraph in America, widely read and widely read, praised her performance as admirable. Emma got five nominations in recognition of her outstanding performance. In the end, she received the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actress of the Film.
